Biography

Dr. Thomas C. Arena is a board-eligible, fellowship-trained podiatric surgeon specializing in comprehensive musculoskeletal care of the foot and ankle.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Richmond before completing four years of podiatric medical education at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Arena went on to complete his surgical residency at Westside Regional Medical Center, where he trained alongside nationally recognized leaders in both podiatric and orthopedic foot and ankle surgery.

Following residency, he pursued advanced fellowship training with the Orthopedic Centers of Colorado, further refining his expertise in total ankle replacement and complex foot and ankle reconstruction, including the use of 3D printing technologies. This experience provided exposure to cutting-edge techniques and the management of highly complex conditions within a collaborative podiatric and orthopedic setting.

Dr. Arena’s passion for medicine was shaped early in life through his father’s podiatric practice in Connecticut, where he witnessed firsthand the impact of compassionate, community-focused care while growing up. This foundation continues to influence his approach today. He is committed to building strong patient relationships, fostering trust, and emphasizing shared decision-making to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Dr. Arena specializes in all foot and ankle problems, from sports injuries and ankle/foot arthritis to complex reconstructions and total joint replacement.
