Kenneth J. Koval, M.D.
Dr. Kenneth J. Koval is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in orthopaedic trauma. With more than three decades of experience, Dr. Koval is nationally recognized for his leadership in fracture care, orthopaedic education, and research advancing the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries.
A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Tufts University, Dr. Koval earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic residency at the Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopaedic Institute in New York City, followed by a fellowship in Orthopaedic Trauma at the University of South Florida – Tampa General Hospital.

A prolific researcher, Dr. Koval has authored over 300 peer-reviewed scientific articles and 15 books on orthopaedic trauma and fracture management. His work has been widely cited and has helped shape modern standards of care in fracture treatment and geriatric orthopaedics. He has lectured throughout the world on multiple topics in orthopaedic surgery.
He has also served as Deputy Editor for the Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma and reviewed for numerous scientific journals, including the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research.
